Fundamental underpinning theories of Science

List top level theories that pupils should meet as part of a study of this area:

Conservation of energy: energy is neither created nor destroyed - just changed from one form to another.
Heat energy takes the form of vibrations of the particles.
Radiation is in the form of waves.
Most energy ends up as low-grade, waste heat.
